Core courses are taught by the writing faculty of the University’s departments of English, Theatre, and Radio-TV-Film, but students also have the chance to work with distinguished visiting faculty who teach each semester for the Center. Typically, three or more visitors are in residence each year, teaching workshops and other special studies courses.

By any measure, by every measure, our resident faculty is extraordinary. Our writers are internationally renowned, lauded by critics and embraced by readers and audiences around the world. Our fiction writers and poets have written internationally bestselling novels, award-winning story collections, graphic novels, and seminal books of poetry. Our screenwriters have worked with everyone from HBO to Warner Brothers, and our playwrights have produced work off-Broadway, at Lincoln Center, and in countless regional and experimental theaters in the US and abroad.
